I just realized! In my previous travel posts, I used to start with the greeting that is used in the country I was writing about (for example this post from Mexico). I didn’t do that with Sri Lanka. I don’t even know how they say “Hello” there because we only used “hello”. Anyways, back to our subject. In this post, I’ll write about one of the most iconic beaches in Sri Lanka, Unawatuna beach. It has that curvy palm-tree over that super famous rock that everyone climbs on (besides me). It was way too high and it is not flat on the top (I thought it was). One look down from up there and I would have fallen down, I’m sure!
Well, I ended up taking a bunch of photos on the ground. On the gorgeous golden sand. Literally one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever been to. Not swimmable though, the waves were too ruff. But it had like a million coconut trees! Have I ever told you I am obsessed with coconut trees? It is not exotic (for me) if there isn’t a palm tree at a country’s beaches! This is what “Tropic” is all about. Again, for me of course! We had so much fun that evening. There was a friendly dog staying on that beach which made our whole photo shooting much more interesting. The little dude wanted to play and we could not resist!
So, I hope you’ll enjoy the post and if you are planning to visit Sri Lanka, Unawatuna should definitely be on your list.
