Hello, my darlings!

Ladies? This post is mostly about you. It is about a place in Bali that only can be described as “Heaven on earth”. The Ubud Market. The only place in Ubud we kept going back to, every afternoon. The only place I did not complain about how touristy it was (as I did here). Because it really was packed. But that did not bother me. On the contrary, I even loved the fact that it was filled with people.

Ubud is full of little boutiques with amazing clothes, souvenir shops with millions of small things to buy for yourself and your loved ones and then there’s the Ubud Market. A street that is full of everything that comes in your mind. Wrap skirts and dresses, scarves, souvenirs, straw hats, dream catchers, home goods, bamboo bags. Bamboo bags in every style, in every shape and every size. Oh, those bamboo bags. For me, that’s a good enough reason to visit Bali again.

So, ladies? Here is my advise to you. Take an extra suitcase when you go to Bali. An empty one so you can fill it up with a million bamboo bags. I did not have space in my suitcase and we had a weight problem with our luggages. I am telling you, if you are anything like me, you will want to buy all of them!

Love, Lucy xx

P.S. Not-so-fun fun fact: The bamboo bag I’m wearing in the photos above cost me €68 to buy from Amazon. At the Ubud Market I could have bought it for around €10. So girls, take that empty suitcase with you!!!
