Ia Orana, my darlings,
The previous post was our second and last post about Tahiti. Actually, besides the “guide” post that’s coming after our series of blog posts on French Polynesia. Well, this is going to be my first post about my favourite place on earth, Moorea. A small, heart-shaped island that is really what we call Heaven on Earth. Seriously the word “Paradise” doesn’t do it any justice. We woke up every day and everything around us felt like a dream. Palm trees, dramatic landscapes, crystal clear waters, corals, amazing underwater life and the nicest people on earth. Other than being the most expensive island we have ever visited, Moorea is without a doubt our favourite place on earth and I couldn’t wait to start sharing posts about this little heavenly island.
I’m going to start our Moorea series kind of from the end. During our trip to Moorea, we stayed in two very different places. We absolutely loved both of them and we had a totally different experience in each one. The first one was kind of like a lodge while the second one was a luxury resort. Well, I’ll start from the resort and end the “French Polynesia” series with a post about the lodge.
So, the photos in this post were taken at Hilton Moorea lagoon resort and spa. A dreamy resort that has everything I mentioned above as “dreamy”. For a few days, we got to wake up in Paradise. And the overwater bungalows made the place look even more tropical. Every day, we would leave our room, grab our goggles and snorkel in the lagoon. Then go for a bite and in the afternoon we would just wander into the resort. Walking through the overwater bungalows and then end the night with a crepe at Toatea Creperie & bar. I can honestly say, those were maybe the best days of our lives.
