So, in this post, I’ll be sharing a day trip we had in a small town called Valladolid. Valladolid is a cute little place in Yucatan that was on my “to do” list when in Mexico. It has a local vibe and it was almost tourist-free the evening we visited it. That day, was the most exhausting one we ever had. We were going sightseeing outside of Tulum so we wanted to see as many things as possible. But we spent most of our day in a cab so that made us feel exhausted. We left our hotel at 8 o’clock in the morning and came back at 9 o’ clock in the evening. And we ate absolutely nothing until 5 in the evening! Plus, an hour later, our camera’s battery went down so we ended up taking photos with our i-phones during night time. No natural light whatsoever!
Anyway, we arrived at Valladolid at 17:00 and went straight for, well, breakfast I guess! We ate at El Meson del Marques and we absolutely loved it. I think it is also a hotel. The atmosphere was lovely, really Mexican and the food had many traditional choices. Totally recommend this place! And after our meal, we went for a stroll in the town and took some photos to share with you guys.
