Our trip to Sri Lanka is already over and now it’s time to get some work done! We have like a million photos to choose from for editing. So, get ready for some serious blog and Instagram spamming! First stop: Kandy!
After thirteen hours of traveling and then 4 and a half hours of taxi ride, we finally arrived in Kandy. First impressions? Sooo different than anything we used to see. Kandy is a human jungle! There are people everywhere and cars everywhere and tuk tuks everywhere! I’m telling you, it was a jungle! The people were the sweetest, always smiling and eager to talk to you and help you with anything you needed.
Kandy is such a gorgeous place to visit. It is the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings. This beautiful city has a gorgeous lake you can wander around or even take a little boat and enjoy the town from inside the lake. But the “must do” while in Kandy is to visit the Sri Dalada temple. The temple of the Sacret Tooth. It is called that way because it houses the relic tooth of Buddha. It is believed that whoever holds the relic tooth, governance the country.
But enough writing, I think is better to show you a few photos of this busy town. Hope you’ll enjoy it!

P.S. I would like to mention that the hotel we stayed was the best choice I made. It was the Radh hotel and it was literally a minute walking from the temple but on a side street so it was really quiet. The room was gorgeous and the breakfast was delicious! You can find the link here .
