Today I received an email from a TripAdvisor user, asking me if I could make some suggestions for his Barcelona trip. I’ve decided to write this post hoping it would help him or any other Barcelona traveler! So these are my Barcelona highlights!
Hotel: Royal Passeig de Gracia
Firstly you MUST walk La Rambla! Take a minute and admire the street performers and on your way stop to get something colorful from La Boqueria!

La Ramblas leads to the port where you can find a mall and an aquarium!

When walking La Ramblas, on your left you will find Barri Gotic (Gothic Quarter). A neighborhood full of style and culture! We spent there most of our time.

Must see attractions:
Sagrata Familia
Probably the best attraction I’ve ever visited. This Gaudi unfinished art is just stunning. When you visit Sagrata Familia, they suggest you visit one of the two Towers for a beautiful city view. It is worth it because you get to see also the spiral staircase!

Tip: Buy your entrance tickets online so you can skip the line.

Park Guell
Definitely a must when in Barcelona! Another Gaudi work of art!

Casa Batllo
Again created from Antony Gaudi, one of his masterpieces and located in the posh street Passeig de Gracia!

Parc de la Ciutadella
We had a wonderful time there! It was a lovely, sunny day and this attraction it was a last minute decision that we really enjoyed!

You must catch a sunset at Tibitabo Mountain! Oh the view.. It takes your breath away!

What to eat and where to find it!
When you go to Barcelona you must eat Paella. We recomend Pez Vela at Barceloneta. Cosy elegance near the beach!
And of course the Tapas! Best tapas at Bilbao at Gothic Quarter.
Also great place for tapas with a great atmosphere is Ocana at Placa Reial!

Most of my shopping time I’ve spent it in Portal Del’Angel in Gothic Quarter. I you want designer shopping you should go to Passeig De Gracia!
