Bonjour my darlings!
It’s been almost a month since our latest post and this one has a totally different vibe to it. No sun, no palm trees. Today’s post will be about the cutest little villages we visited recently in France. For the first time in a while, we travelled to a destination colder than our country. We kind of missed Europe and even though we prefer adding countries to our list, we visited a different town (in this case, towns) in a country we’ve been before. We went to Alsace.
I don’t know if you have heard about Alsace before, but it is a place that has been on our list since forever. Alsace is an area that consists of villages famous for their wine. From its many villages we chose to visit Ribauville, we stayed in Riquewihr and of course spent a day in Colmar. The most famous village of all Alsace. It is actually called the capital of the Alsatian wine ( Capitale des vins d’Alsace). Well, I cannot say enough about these villages. They were incredibly cute, full of colours. It felt like we were at Disney world but without the rides. Have you seen Beauty and the Beast? That was exactly how these sweet little towns looked like.
We stayed in Alsace for a week and during those days we had great (smelly) cheese, tasted hot wine and had many many pretzels! I had at least two of those pretzels every day! Absolutely loved them. Also, another thing this area is famous for is for its Tarte flambee. But that was not our cup of tea.
Anyways, I’ll better show you the photos of our trip. I will mention the village each photo was taken at, at the end of this post.
Love, Lucy xx
